News Flash!!

We’ve arrived in St Louis, we want to see the arch on the 4th of July and as luck would have it there’s a festival happening in town. Hootie and the Blowfish are playing outdoors under the Arch. We’ll see if the weather holds. Ok now for the news flash! This morning we were sitting around in the whale having coffee when suddenly we heard something hit the air conditioning unit on the roof. Erin and I went up to investigate, we think it was only a piece of ice that broke off the fan coil and had probably hit the fan. To our surprise when we looked around we noticed black “paw” prints on the roof. We took pictures of it, now you decide: Elusive bear hunting us? Or the biggest raccoon in the world? That print was the size of my foot; we’re not sure what it was.

Oh and for what it’s worth, at this camp site the inevitable happened. You can’t go a month without something breaking. Unfortunately it was the sewer hose. Hahahahahhha, remember that scene in the movie RV? It happened to Bruce, ok not as dramatic but the hose blew off the connecter as he was emptying the black water tank. We have never laughed so hard, it was priceless, and you couldn’t have planned that. The kids laughed for hours and so did I. That’ll teach us to connect two hoses together. I wish you could have all been here. We now have our very own cesspool under our whale, guess she really had to go.

Homeward bound and another adventure waiting for you. You really cover the ground. I had a good laugh too, remembering the awful event in the RV movie, poor Bruce maybe he can laugh too now that it is over. As kids my brother and I used to climb all over those Red Rocks. There were caves and scary high places to maneuver. Unfortunately for the future generation those wonderful places are roped off to the public. My family went a few times to Easter Services at sunrise, quite a different crowd from the hippies you met. I can breath easy as you are away from the mountains, I used to be very afraid traveling those roads in small cars. Got to run, we are going to the Ralphs for our 4th of July celebration. Safe journey home. Love Mom

Thats hilarious, Id have to see that. real funny. And that would scare the pee out of me if I saw the ilusive bear on the roof, but that would be so amazing at the same time. Well at least you know the bears wanted to see you even though you never really saw them in the wild.
