In the begining there was…

I'll first begin with the know fact that I'm a terrrible writer. This site was started for the benefit of family and friends. We hope to involve you in our adventures and tales as we start our journey. We have so much going on these days it's so exciting that we wanted to share. In the end you all will understand that we really aren't crazy.

The NC. Reids are going to pack up for the summer and head out west for a month. No work, no boss, no deadlines, just us and the two wienie dogs. After the trip we will no longer be refered to as the NC Reids we will have evolved into the SC Reids, should be an easy transition rv to doublewide trailer. The trip is part midlife crisis and part crazy bonding experiment. The kids are now 17 and 14 years old and the time is now or never, soon they'll move on to college and our opportunities for great family memories will end.

Theres lots of planning still going on. We bought this 35 foot Gulfstream back in February not only for the big trip but for going to fly-ins in the future. We took it to Connecticut in April for it's break in voyage. It's the only way to travel, I am now officially spoiled. I was served fresh coffee on demand and the bathroom was close by and CLEAN!!! We drove without any cares, stopped at a few places, Gettysburg, Sheanedoah National park, we had a blast. OOOOhhhh but Adrianna wasn't it hard to drive you say…. NO I say. Justin the 17 year old drove it for a few hours and did great, I drove it and we survived. OOOOHHHH but Adrianna it must use a lot of gas? And to that I say hell ya.

The RV yall

I hope you all visit our site often we will keep you posted on our travels. Theres only 3 weeks till we depart. We plan to update the site as we go, most RV parks now have wifi so were set. Please feel free to comment we welcome your questions.

The trip begins June 10th and ends July 10th

Yeah, you really are a terrible writer. Mostly the spelling and punctuation. Try this web site, – it’s Merriam Webster’s dictionary online. You can even get the pronounciation. Good luck. With everything. I’m sure your adventurous stories will keep us entertained. Keep an eye on those dogs, watch out for anyone looking to put them on a stick and roast them over the fire. You know, camping and roasting wieners…..

Adrianna, I love the pic of you and bruce skipping down the lane and your army pants are cute. I guess bruce didn’t think the bugs would bite so he kept his legs bare, very brave man. The land looks just like you belong there with all your adventures. Looking forward to hearing about your trip along the way. With your family it can only be fun.
